CBD has become the popular kid on the block, with health enthusiasts hailing the natural supplement for its benefits. The benefits of CBD, along with it being natural, is what set it apart from the rest of the competition.

But with CBD being a relatively new phenomenon, there is plenty of wrong information making the rounds on the internet and in forums. We shall be briefly helping to shine the light with the help of scientific studies on CBD. Let us take a look…

Curbing Anxiety

Of the several benefits of CBD, one is its ability to reduce the feelings of stress and anxiety. A study held in 2019, with a group of 103 adults showed that CBD dosage helped them to calm down and lower anxiety greatly. As per the study, the anxiety scores of 89 of the 103 participants reduced in the first month of them trying CBD. Over the course of the 90 days that this study took place, the anxiety scores continued to reduce. The participants were given a dosage of 25 mg to 175 mg on a daily basis.

Lulling Insomnia

CBD has been able to help those with acute and chronic insomnia, to a great degree. A 2018 study in the Journal Medicine found that a combination of both THC and CBD were able to reduce the symptoms of sleeplessness of a test group of 490 participants. The rating of their insomnia severity was put on a scale of 1 to 10, with 1 being the least severe.

In the beginning, the participants averaged out a rating of 6.6. After the combination of cannabinoids, the average reduced to a startling 2.2! That is a 4.5 drop in the rating. If you or someone you know is struggling with sleep issues, then CBD can do wonders in helping your body get the much needed hours of sleep.

CBD Is For The Seniors

CBD is considered to be young and hip, but a study in 2018 showed that 65% of the seniors rated their quality of life to be “good” after using CBD, which is up from the 31% that said the same before trying out CBD.

3 out of the 5 seniors, who took CBD, agreed that CBD increased the quality of their sleep and reduced pains, as well. Close to 30% of the CBD users who were over the age of 54 said that CBD was extremely effective in treating various symptoms that were troubling them.
